Champion Mortgage, Keybank National Assoc. and Keycorp Wage and Hour Violations

On March 3, 2005, we filed a class/collective action against Champion Mortgage seeking unpaid overtime on behalf of all loan officers who routinely worked 50 hours per week or more.  The complaint alleges that Champion Mortgage violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) and similar state laws by failing to pay loan officers overtime at one and one-half times their regular rate of pay.

On July 30, 2008, the court preliminarily approved a settlement between the named plaintiff, proposed class and Champion Mortgage.  The settlement covers loan officers employed by Champion Mortgage in the states of New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts and Maryland between March 2002 and February 2007.  Notice and claim forms will be mailed to class members by August 20, 2008.  Click here to learn more about class and collective actions.

If you believe that you are a member of the class and have any questions concerning the settlement, notice or claims procedure, please contact us by mail, telephone or submitting a “contact us” form, or by emailing .
